Yggdrasil KISKIS MKAL Kit
These enchanted kits were created as a collaboration between Common Thread Fiber, Katydid Bags, and Knitten Word and are for the Tolkien inspired Keep It Secret, Keep it Safe (KISKIS) MKAL. The kits are for a mystery crescent shawl and are essential for getting the full KISKIS MKAL experience that will be hosted by Nicole of Common Thread Fiber on her Discord. Each kit includes:
- 5 skeins of Baba Yaga Worsted from Knitten Word (100% SW Bluefaced Leicester, 100g - 218yd/200m)
- A matching sweater sized bag from Katydid Bags (Width: 18.5", Height: 11", Boxed Bottom Base: 4")
- A card with Code for Common Thread Fiber's KISKIS MKAL Shawl pattern on Ravelry
This colour, Yggdrasil, is inspired by the Norse mythology that inspired Tolkien. The warm bright emerald green is meant to be a reminder of the lush forests and valleys that make up Middle Earth (which is meant to be a nod to Midgard in Norse mythology). There's no way to imagine a Middle Earth in which nature, the natural world, and the colour green don't play a crucial role.
The MKAL experience will begin January 4th and will include:
- Sit and Knits
- Tolkien Readalong
- Guessing Game with Prizes
- A warm and welcoming community to start your year off right (and cozy!)
